Description

Property 193806

Location and Surrounding Area

Immersed in the peaceful Tuscan countryside, this magnificent recently-restored property is ideally located to explore the region’s cultural highlights and most spectacular natural wonders. With wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, this exclusive five-bedroom property is the perfect location for unforgettable day trips to the most beautiful towns in Tuscany and provides a unique opportunity to admire its splendid landscapes while soaking up the region’s incredibly rich historical and cultural heritage.

In just ten minutes by car, you can easily reach Montalcino. Known globally as the home of one of the world’s great wines, Brunello di Montalcino, this attractive hilltop town has of wine shops lining its medieval streets and is surrounded by hugely picturesque vineyards. There is history to explore too: the town’s efforts to hold out against Florence even after Siena had fallen earned it the title “The Republic of Siena in Montalcino”, and there are many well-preserved medieval buildings within the historic city walls.

The villa is also a stone’s throw from Montepulciano. Exploring the medieval town of Montepulciano, perched on a reclaimed narrow ridge of volcanic rock, will push your quadriceps to failure point. When this happens, self-medicate with a generous pour of the highly reputed Vino Nobile. Explore Grosseto and wander around its 16th-century Medici walls, now transformed into gardens perfect for a pleasant walk. The wide walls form a hexagonal shape and enclose the whole of the historic center of the city.

In one hour by car, you can easily reach the medieval town of Siena. Its ancient red brick buildings, the scallop-shaped main square Piazza del Campo and the Cathedral Square, dominated by the zebra-striped Duomo, make it an absolute must for anyone traveling to Tuscany. Effectively an open-air museum celebrating the Gothic, Siena boasts secular monuments that have retained both their medieval forms and their exceptional art collections, providing plenty to marvel at.

Property 193806 is 128 km from Florence Amerigo Vespucci International Airport, 198 km from Pisa Galileo Galilei International Airport, 216 km from Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport, 221 km from Rome Leonardo da Vinci International Airport. Montalcino is 10 km from the villa, Pienza is 33 km, Montepulciano is 46 km, Grosseto is 50 km, Siena is 52 km, San Gimignano is 89 km, Arezzo is 90 km, Greve in Chianti is 99 km, Volterra is 103 km, Florence is 126 km, Pisa is 201 km.
