Location and Surrounding Area

Located in one of the most appreciated areas in Apulia, just a few kilometers from the Adriatic coast, this nine-bedroom masseria is ideally situated to offer complete privacy to its guests, providing an opulent retreat for those who want to explore the Valle d’Itria and its countryside, dotted with characteristic trulli, dry-stone walls, vineyards and olive groves stretching as far as the eye can see. Famous for its whitewashed towns and beautiful beaches, the Valle d’Itria features all the ingredients for the perfect vacation.

The villa is just a stone’s throw from Ostuni, which shines out against the surrounding verdant landscape. Its hilltop center takes in a panorama that ranges over a hinterland rich in art and tradition to the turquoise shades of the distant sea. The villa is less than an hour from Martina Franca, the largest town in the Valle d’Itria. Being in the heart of the valley, Martina Franca is a great base from which to explore the area, but spend some time exploring its old center which boasts beautiful Baroque architecture and quaint streets.

The villa is just a stone’s throw from Locorotondo, a whitewashed hilltop town designated as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, and from Cisternino, often listed as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. After you have visited the historic Chiesa di San Nicola, you can get charming views of the surrounding countryside from Piazza Garibaldi, across the street from the church, and the Torre Civica, the tower which helped to protect the city.

The villa is also a few kilometers from Savelletri, a pretty port town with beaches and great dining options. Known for the quality seafood, Savelletri offers a traditional fishing village atmosphere. Enjoy some fresh fish just brought in by the fishermen and stroll along the charming seafront. There is a lovely waterfront church with Templar symbols, which is dedicated to the patron saint, celebrated in grand style on the second Sunday of August with a procession by sea of boats.

Crystal clear waters and cliffs pitted with caves carved by the sea give Polignano a Mare its uniqueness. Known as the pearl of the Adriatic, Polignano a Mare is the ideal place to plunge into uncontaminated waters and explore a picturesque historic center by the sea. In just half an hour by car, you can easily reach Alberobello, famous for its trulli houses. The conical rooftops coupled with charming cobblestone alleys and whitewashed houses are a simply magical sight.

The Property

Surrounded by five hectares of gardens and olive groves, Property 190080 is an elegant masseria located in one of the most evocative corners in Southern Italy. This Apulian villa joins three characteristic trulli together, placing the shared lounge areas around these once separate stone buildings. Offering a tranquil atmosphere, Property 190080 can perfectly accommodate fourteen guests featuring nine bedrooms spread over three buildings and one holiday cabin in front of the pool.

Surrounded by a lush garden, the property boasts a large pool and a generous poolside area furnished with sun loungers and bean bags inviting guests to sit back and unwind. Offering a calm atmosphere, the villa boasts a dining area on the patio for romantic al fresco dinners under the stars.  For the more adventurous chefs, there is a barbecue and pizza oven alongside the recreation area. The outdoor space is the ultimate retreat to sunbathe or just sip a cocktail while enjoying the breeze.

Property 190080 joins three characteristic trulli together, placing the shared living areas around these once separate stone buildings. There are three beautiful living rooms, one is particularly spacious and embellished with several pieces of contemporary art from the owner's collection. The living areas are bright and designed for kicking back with a glass of quality local red wine. There are two fully-equipped kitchens for rustling up delicious delicacies and a total of eight delightful bedrooms.

Trulli are traditional structures made of carved stone, with pointed-dome roofs and meter-thick walls to protect against the heat and sun. Their open, round floor plan allows for a truly unique experience. Inside these walls, once covered with straw, one feels as if in another time, sheltered and protected. In the Lamia Building you will find three double bedrooms and one bedroom with two bunk beds. Each room has en-suite bathroom with shower and is individually designed.

The Trulli Building houses two double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom with shower. In this building you will also find one of the kitchens. The Saraceno Building houses one double bedroom and a living room with double bed sharing a bathroom with shower. In this building you will find one of the two kitchens. In the Holiday Cabin, which is located in front of the pool, you will find an additional double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower.

Please note that the property can accommodate fourteen guests and six additional guests (up to twenty) on request, at an extra cost.
