Como’s mountain-backed shores are furrowed with ancient paths that wind through attractive villages. Many of the historic palaces open their rooms and gardens for public viewing, meaning you can experience history vicariously like an erstwhile duke or duchess. The villa is a few kilometers from Argegno, a small village overlooking Lake Como in the area of its major depth. The villa is a few kilometers from Lenno, nestling by a little bay in the lake. The village boasts a beautiful 11th-century church, restored in the 16th century, with a baptistery nearby. From here, head for the grand Villa Balbianello. Do not miss the view of the lake from the balcony and allow a few hours to explore the rooms, in particular the Expeditions Museum, which has memorabilia from Guido Monzino’s travels. On the water yet only a 5-minute drive from Como's center, Property 183456 is one of Lake Como's most unique and historic villas. Masterfully renovated in 2009, Property 183456 can accommodate up to twenty-three guests featuring eight bedrooms in the Main Villa and three bedrooms in the Guest House.

Overlooking the lake and surrounded by a generous lush garden, this magnificent neoclassical residence boasts an exclusive swimming pool (which can be heated on request at an additional cost) and a spacious poolside areafurnished with comfortable sun loungers inviting guests to sit back and unwind. Offering a tranquil atmosphere, the outdoor area represents an idyllic spot for enjoying wonderful moments of relaxation in the company of a good book and a glass of prosecco.

Main Villa:

A three-year renovation, finished in 2009, has restored the full artful splendor of 1772 while adding modern conveniences. The Main Villa can comfortably accommodate sixteen guests plus three guests. Filled with frescoes, the ground floor boasts a grand piano (please note that it can be used only by professionals) and a grand foyer with fresco ceiling and spiral marble staircase. On the same floor you will find a fully-equipped gym and a bathroom with shower. The floors of the villa are connected by both staircase and elevator.

Offering an elegant atmosphere, the first floor boasts the main formal living room with original fresco and mosaic floor, a casual living room, a generous dining room for up to fourteen people. On the same floor you will also find an exclusive terrace, which is usually used for al fresco breakfast, overlooking the garden and the swimming pool. On the first floor you will also find a fully-equipped kitchen and a guest bathroom. The first floor also boasts a double (or twin) bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower.

On the second floor you will find five bedrooms: a master double bedroom with walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom with both tub and shower; two double bedrooms sharing a bathroom with shower; a double bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower; and a double bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with tub. In this room, an extra bed can be added on request. On the same floor, you will also find a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.

On the upper floor, the third one, which can be reached by the elevator, you will find two bedrooms: a double bedroom with king-size bed and a comfortable French sofa bed complete with en-suite bathroom with shower; and a triple bedroom with queen-size bed and a single bed, featuring en-suite bathroom with shower. Please note that the entire garden is surrounded by stone walls and hedges for optimal privacy. Moreover, the back gate opens onto the famous lakeside promenade.

Guest House:

Next to the Main Villa, you will find the Guest House. The Main Villa and the Guest House share the same garden and are divided by a gate, which can be closed. The Guest House also boasts an independent access from the street. From the ground floor, a staircase leads to the first floor, where you will find a TV room, a triple bedroom with double bed and single bed, and bathroom with tub. On the same floor you will also find a small terrace, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower.

On the upper floor, you will find a third double bedroom. The Guest House can comfortably accommodate up to seven guests plus a child in a comfortable sofa bed, which is available on request. Property 183456 features air conditioning both in the Main Villa and in the Guest House. Bikes are available for the exclusive use of the villa’s guests.
