Description

Property 190314 – Pian di Scò - Tuscany

19 Bedrooms in 3 villas and 3 residences – Pool

A truly Tuscan lifestyle experience in an authentic village with all modern conveniences.

Location and Surrounding Area. Property 190314 is a large country estate covering 1000 hectares and houses a cluster of several superbly renovated farmhouses, suites and apartments. The property was originally a convent from the 1600s and then later converted into a series of farmhouses. In addition to offering guests a swimming pool, theatre, restaurant and library, Property 190314 is famous for its DOP quality olive oil, vinsanto wine and zolfini beans as well as other products from the organic vegetable garden.

Property 190314 is situated in the Valdarno, one of Tuscany's most beautiful and historically important areas. The surrounding countryside makes for superb walking and the area offers much in the way of outdoor activities; from horse riding to mountain biking and trekking. The area not only produces outstanding olive but is an important stop for wine lovers. Montepulciano is about an hour's drive from Property 190314 and is known not only for being a stunning, hilltop Renaissance town but also for the quality of its fine wines. The Cantucci family, for example, has been creating fine wines since the 1700s and is considered one of the founding fathers of the exceptional red wine, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Another sought-after red wine, the Brunello di Montalcino, has been produced in the hills around Montalcino since the early 14th century.

In fact, the whole area is steeped in history with unchanged, medieval towns perched on hillsides. Examples include the unforgettable San Gimignano with its skyline of high medieval towers and the delightful town of Suvereto which are both little more than an hour's drive away.

Florence is only about 40 km away and within easy driving distance for a day out soaking up the culture in one of Italy's most romantic cities.

Property 190314 is about 60 km from Florence international airport and 130 km from Perugia international airport.

The Property. Property 190314 has a selection of prestigious villas, suites and apartments scattered around the central piazza of the little hamlet, each offering something special for its guests. All of the houses are elegantly furnished with family antiques in traditional Tuscan style and guests are also free to make the most of the shared facilities on the estate. Each villa has Wi-Fi.

Villa Le Magnolie is just off the central piazza and offers its guests total seclusion, magnificent gardens and a private swimming pool. It sleeps up to eight people and there is the possibility of adding two further suites with a double bed each, thus offering accommodation for up to 12 guests in total.

Villa Le Magnolie has four double rooms in the main villa, each with a private bathroom and views out over the gardens. Three of the bedrooms are on the first floor and the fourth twin room is on the ground floor. The ground floor has a very large, airy living room with a gorgeous fireplace, perfect for an evening aperitif and after-dinner conversation. There is also a dining area and a modern, fully equipped kitchen.

Al fresco meals can be taken on the pretty terrace just outside and the large swimming pool has a fully furnished poolside area, guaranteeing afternoons of complete rest and stylish relaxation.

Villa La Nocciolina. This charming stone and brick property has two lovely double bedrooms with private bathrooms on the ground floor. The spacious, wood-beamed living room, dining room and kitchen are all on the first floor and in addition to the internal staircase, there is a second set of outside steps leading down to the garden from the terrace.

Villa La Leccina. This pretty house is situated near the Property 190314 swimming pool and sleeps up to six guests in two double bedrooms and one twin room. The bedrooms are all on the ground floor and each has its own private bathroom and magnificent views out over the gardens.
